LEVEL 1: MAINTAIN & SUSTAIN
This outsourced CFO service is for businesses with strong and consistently-profitable business models seeking to maintain their competitive advantage (take our test here to rate your business model strength).
Though it's great for businesses already at the top of their game, it isn’t suitable those needing business model strengthening or the development of systems, structures and plans needed to get there – which are services delivered under our Level 2 and 3 services.
Twice Per Month, Half-Day Engagements, Your Location
Each engagement will be one-half of a business workday (4 hours in morning or afternoon) at your business on recurring days two days per month. Below is a schedule that will generally be followed, but it will be flexible enough in any given engagement to focus upon matters that may be more important or pressing.
Monthly Engagement 1 of 2 – Business Review
- Performance, financial controls and cash flow review & projection with owner(s)
- Work with accountant/controller and other staff to address any current issues
Monthly Engagement 2 of 2 – Strategy and Financial Planning
- Discussion of opportunities, threats and issues for consideration
- Short and long term goal setting and planning
- CFO-driven projections, analyses, input/guidance supporting all forward plans

Level 2 - Build & Grow
This outsourced CFO service is for growing businesses needing to develop and implement the systems, structures and plans needed for consistent strength and profitability. It includes all services of our Level 1 service, plus ongoing focus on the development of a strong and consistently-profitable business model, and the strategic and financial planning necessary for business success.
Four Per Month, Half-Day Engagements, Your Location
Each engagement will be one-half of a business workday (4 hours in morning or afternoon) at your business on recurring days four days per month.
Below is a schedule that will generally be followed, but it will be flexible enough in any given engagement to focus upon matters that may be more important or pressing.
Monthly Engagement 1 of 4 – Business Review and Structural Development/Management
- Performance, financial controls and cash flow review & projection with owner(s)
- Work with owner(s), accountant, controller and staff to develop and manage financial systems, structures, and plans necessary for success
Monthly Engagement 2 of 4 – Business Model Optimization
- Discussion and planning on key elements of a strong, profitable business model
- Key elements including: vision, capital access and right-fit providers, work quality, pricing, costing, team, sales and marketing, recurring sales, persistent profits, focus and efficiency, integrated financial planning, sustainable growth pace, succession planning
Monthly Engagement 3 of 4 – Business Review and Structural Development/Management
- Performance, financial controls and cash flow review & projection with owner(s)
- Work with owner(s), accountant, controller and staff to develop and manage financial systems, structures, and plans necessary for success
Monthly Engagement 4 of 4 – Strategy and Financial Planning

Level 3 - Build, Grow & Manage
This outsourced CFO service is for businesses that don't need a full-time CFO, but do need one who is fully-integrated with the rest of their management team and who works on a one day per week basis (often ideal for businesses between $5-$20M in revenues). It includes all services of our Level 2 service, plus weekly supervision of accounting and financial staff and interaction with other executive or managerial members of staff.
Each engagement will be one 8 hour business workday at your business on recurring days four days per month. Below is a schedule that will generally be followed, but it will be flexible enough in any given engagement to focus upon matters that may be more important or pressing.
Four Per Month, Full-Day Engagements, Your Location
Monthly Engagement 1 of 4 – Business Review and Structural Development/Management

- Work with owner(s), accountant, controller and staff to develop and manage financial systems, structures, and plans necessary for success
- Weekly supervision, interaction and planning with all accounting/financial staff
- Ongoing coordination with key managerial staff (e.g. production mgrs., sales/marketing, office mgr.) re: financial or strategic coordination on profitable business management
Monthly Engagement 2 of 4 – Business Model Optimization
- Discussion and planning on key elements of a strong, profitable business model
